Saturday, November 10, 2001 - Parker Kelly Caldara, the 11-month-old daughter of Independence Institute president Jon Caldara, is in Denver Children's Hospital with a brain tumor. "We do not know what the future holds for our little girl," Caldara said Friday in an e-mail to institute staff and members of the media. "But I will be with her. "For at least the near future I will not be able to return your calls and e-mails, and I will be spending little time in the office. You won't hear me on radio or see me on TV for a little while." Caldara, in addition to running the free-market think tank in Golden, hosts a weekly public television program, "Independent Thinking," on KBDI Channel 12 and often fills in as a talk-radio host on 850-AM KOA Radio in Denver. | ![]() | ![]() |
